We're back to roof panel day. The house doesn't look very different from yesterday in this shot (it's early morning before the panels go up- with bad lighting to top it off), but will be almost complete by the end of the day.
Today, each group will begin with raising the roof (and securing from the top), then they'll start filling in the holes that the wavy roof creates. They call this process (using cinder block pieces and/or rocks cemented with morter) chinking. The groups don't typically like to chink, but it's necessary, tedious work. After this, they'll finish with stucco, then pour the front and back steps. A little cleaning, and the groups are ready for dedication tomorrow.
