It's time to go home...

I've had an absolute blast on this journey, but it's time to be home! I've learned a lot- about stuff I would never even think you need to know. I've enjoyed my time with these people...the community, the staff, the missionaries from the US, the folks at the hotel, and others I was able to run across each and every day. The pace is slower here and people make time for others. Even though the language barrier is huge for me, I still find it amazing that I am able to communicate so easily with someone worlds apart, when it would be easier to just take the easy route. Here, you make time to live in community, to share, to listen, to give. It's truly an incredible place- not one that Americans improve, necessarily, but a place where Americans are touched and given so much more than the tangible realities of life as we know it back home. Tomorrow is it. Back to a fast-paced life, bills, work, cell phones and the media. I'm not looking forward to those things, but know it's time- trusting that I'll carry this experience with me always. In the meantime, thanks for sharing this journey with me!

Adios!
