photo tour: part 2

Just so you know I'm not completely "roughing" it on this trip, I thought some pictures of the hotel would keep me honest. It's not The Ritz, but it's by no means what you would think of when you think of mission trip to Mexico! They take care of us and we have just about everything we need right here. CPC has been using this spot as home base in Piedras for several years. We completely take over the back few wings of the hotel and a few parking lots as well. It's a busy place with many business travelers, banquets, and wedding receptions, but we stay fairly seperated most of the time.

here's the pool from another angle- the restaurant (which is very popular amongst the wealthy locals) is in the background on the left. They also have parties out here all the time- wedding receptions, sweet sixteens, debutante balls, you name it there are people out here many times a week.

and there are palm trees....everywhere! they are painted white at the bottom to keep the ants off (apparently the big ants here like to climb, then fall on your head)


just in case you need to rest (in the 100+ heat), you can find several little sitting areas between buildings
