a hidden gem

Things are quiet this week....very quiet and I dare say I'm a little bored! We only have one group here (just over 30 folks) and a staff of 4, so there's just not that much to do. So, I've been playing the "what can I do to keep myself entertained while Ashlee, John & Jay are doing important things" game. Yesterday I was out running errands (really it was making up excuses to run errands so I could get out) and did some exploring. I came across a colorful little cemetery and had to pull in and take some pictures. Luckily, the guard (who was waiting for me at the exit after I made the quick loop) wasn't too irritated, but you could tell he was questioning my actions. I told him that I spoke just a little Spanish and thought his place was very beautiful...or at least that's what I meant to tell him. Some may say cemeteries are creepy, but this one was anything but in my opinion. Instead, it seemed full of life- or maybe just full of testaments of well-lived lives.
