tuesdays

Tuesdays are not the most exciting days for me, but a good day nonetheless!  The day begins the same as the rest with a run, breakfast prep, breakfast- french toast, ham, oatmeal, bananas, cereal & juice- staff meeting/devotion, the groups departing around 7:00 am.  Today, I helped the cooks clean up, then met with a few of the full-time CPC staff to discuss meals for next week & the future.  The rest of the morning was spent around the hotel doing some cleaning, reading, shower & paying the water guy.  Most of the staff returns from work around noon and we talked and ate lunch together when they returned.  Diane Davis, the founder of CPC, was in town for the mayor's funeral last week.  She left the hotel at 2:00 to fly back to Birmingham, so we waved her off, then I took a nap.  This afternoon (it's funny here...everything is pushed back by hours, so 4:30 is thought of as early afternoon) I went to meet the construction staff at the bodega to bend rebar, then we went to eat at my favorite taco stand, El Nortano.  Hands down, El Nortano has some of the best tacos in the world...and so very cheap!  We go there a lot, but not nearly enough for my taste!  We got back to the hotel around 7:15, I made coffee for in the morning, made my grocery list for tomorrow, and am ready for bed.  It's too early now, but it sure does feel nice to be done with all of my duties with a few hours before bedtime!

And took keep this somewhat interesting, I'll leave you with a picture of some of the staff during roof panel delivery last Thursday.
