good news, bad news

Good News:  Construction on 3 news houses is moving along very well and everyone is happy & healthy.  More importantly, the SUN is out and we're really happy about that!

Bad News:  This city is struggling with the flooding.  The city's water supply has been cut off temporarily...but who knows how long temporarily will be.  Luckily, the hotel has a huge reserve, so we're ok for the moment.  If they must refill, it may not be clean, but it will be water.  People are afraid gas is next, so the lines at the gas station are extremely long.  The water man missed his Saturday delivery and was supposed to deliver water & ice today.  He has not come...and may not for days, so we're running low on purified water and ice too.  And finally, we made a trip to the bridge to see just how bad the damage is.  Compare the picture from earlier to the second picture below....it's frightening!  There are conflicting reports about what's to come.  Some say the water has already crested & the worst is over.  Others say the water from up north has not made it yet and will crest tonight.  We think the bridge will be ok, but we'll just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings.  As for today, we're moving right along and hoping for the best!
