Bienvenidos a México (Welcome to Mexico)

I made it & I’m exhausted, but glad to be here! Left Birmingham at 6:55, flew to Dallas, jumped on a (late) plane to San Antonio, collected luggage, caught a cab to the Greyhound Station, broke in line*, bought tickets, and boarded the bus with 4 minutes to spare. After an uneventful bus ride, I made it to Eagle Pass and was quickly reminded of just how HOT it is here. Birmingham has been unseasonably warm, but this is ridiculous! Now it's time to get settled! More tomorrow...and I promise some pictures!


*In true Jen Lancaster style, I’ll use some footnotes…The line breaking occurred after doing my best "I desperately need to get on the 1:00 bus and have no ticket and with only ONE worker behind the counter and 20 people in front of me I'm not going to make it" speech to a very nice Greyhound employee. He told me to follow him to the front of the line & I did (though I'm sure I ticked some folks off in the process)! I think everyone, at some point in their life, needs to experience a Greyhound Station- fun times!
